Many people think something has to be perfect before they can proceed. I've even heard the phrase "it needs to be professional" in relation to starting a business, which is just another way to say it needs to be perfect. Certainly, we need professionalism in our business ventures, but this phrase is too often used as an excuse to make a move. It's fear disguised as a smart business decision. When creating success, it's more important you first take a step. The professionalism will come in time.

Indecision. Big sucky hole. Same things.

According to Wikipedia, a black hole is a region of space from which nothing, including light, can escape. In layman's terms (or more specifically my terms), it's that scary black mass in space that sucks everything into itself. Sounds a lot like indecision which stands ready to foil greatness at every turn. Good idea after good idea gets sucked into indecisiveness, never to be seen again. The common excuse is "I love to do lots of things," or "I'm doing research," but those are just nice phrases to cover up indecision. And guess what, nothing ever gets accomplished - no steps are ever taken - because the indecision black hole sucks them up and spits them out in some other dimension. But then, maybe some interstellar being on the other side can use the secrets of success to take your good idea and make it wildly successful. That's reassuring, right?
